Leander swimming Club was formed in November 1964.The main club colours are green red and white.
Andy Hunter and Marion Madine swam in the Olympic games; Mark Miller and Marion Madine swam in the World Championships; and further 17 of our swimmers swam in either the European or Commonwealth games.
Marion Madine was also the only Irish swimmer to have won two British titles and a silver medal at the same British Championships.
Our Head Coach and co founder of the club Mr Bobby Madine was a former Irish Butterfly Champion. Without question Bobby is the driving force.
Leander currently swims at the Robinson centre and the Whiterock leisure centres in Belfast.
